Return Policy


30-Day Return Guarantee

Every diagnostic tool purchased from our DTC platform includes a 30-day limited return and refund guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return undamaged products within 30 days of delivery for a refund (excluding items clearly marked as non-returnable on our website).

This 30-Day Return Guarantee is offered in addition to, and does not affect, any statutory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law, including the European Union Right of Withdrawal.

Condition requirements for returned products

  • You provide a valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice or receipt that includes your order number.
  • The original packaging remains intact and undamaged.
  • The product is in new condition.
  • All original accessories (manuals, cables, promotional gifts, etc.) are included.
  • Product labels, serial numbers, and water damage seals show no signs of tampering or alteration.
  • Products returned under the statutory right of withdrawal may be inspected to determine whether they have been handled only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.

How to request a return for a refund

To request a return or cancel an eligible order, simply sign in to our online Returns & Cancellations Portal.

After signing in, you can:

• Submit a return request for eligible delivered orders

• Submit a cancellation request for eligible unshipped orders

• Track the status of your request

Our customer service team will provide additional assistance when necessary, including return instructions, return shipping labels, or Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), where applicable.

Please do not return any item without an approved return request or prior authorization. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted or processed.


Return label usage

Please follow these return shipping requirements:
  1. For RMA returns, we provide free return shipping labels — one label per package. Check the shipping weight printed on each label and place the correct label on the corresponding box. Each shipping label is intended for one‑time use on a single package.
  2. Securely pack your return items in the original packaging and shipping box to prevent damage during transit.
  3. Include all parts, accessories, and documentation in the package.
  4. Ship the returned item within the timeframe specified in your approved return instructions.

Return shipping charges

If the return is due to a product issue (e.g., damage, defect, malfunction, or wrong item sent), please contact our customer support team. We will cover the return shipping costs.
If the return is due to personal preference (e.g., dissatisfaction or change of mind), you may request a refund or exchange within 30 days, but you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Customers will be informed of any applicable return shipping costs before submitting their return request.

If a returned product shows damage, missing components, or signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics, and functioning, a deduction from the refund may be applied to reflect the diminished value of the product, where permitted under applicable law.

Any such deduction will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will reflect the actual reduction in the product's value.


Refund Policy

Order cancellation

Orders may be cancelled free of charge before shipment.

Customers can conveniently submit cancellation requests through our online Returns & Cancellations Portal.

Once an order has been shipped, it can no longer be cancelled. If you no longer wish to keep the item after delivery, you may submit a return request through the same portal in accordance with this policy.

Please note that only full order cancellations are accepted once order processing has begun. Partial order cancellations may not be available depending on the fulfillment status of your order.

EU Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving your goods, without giving any reason, unless an exception under applicable law applies.

You may exercise this right by submitting a cancellation or return request through our Returns & Cancellations Portal or by contacting us via email.

Nothing in this policy limits or replaces any mandatory consumer rights provided under applicable European Union consumer protection laws.


Refund processing time

Once we receive and confirm your return, your refund will be issued within 2 business days to your original payment method. Holiday returns will be processed after the holiday period ends.

Warranty coverage and policy

If the product experiences a performance failure during the valid warranty period, you are eligible to apply for warranty service.
  • For quality‑related issues: During the warranty period, our website will cover the cost of replacement or repair services. After the warranty period, only repair services are available — replacement will not be provided.
  • For non‑quality issues: During the warranty period, our website will cover the cost of repair services. After the warranty period, repair services may still be provided for a partial compensation fee.
  • The warranty period is defined in the product's user manual and begins from the purchase date shown on your invoice. Please keep your invoice as proof of purchase. (If a valid invoice is not available, the warranty period will be calculated from the product's manufacturing date.)

Warranty replacement

For any defective product under warranty, you can contact our support team at service@autointhebox.com. Our team will assist with troubleshooting and, if eligible, arrange a replacement or a return.

Software Update Service Warranty

Once you place a software update order, please send your device's S/N number and Order ID to our email. Our support team will extend your update period online within 24 hours. This is a one‑time fee — no recurring charges.
Software update services, activation codes, and other digital products become non-refundable once delivered or activated, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Important note: This update service applies only to devices purchased through online platforms. Please make sure the software update you purchase matches your current device model.
